Afternoon Floater/All Day Substitute

Afternoon Floater

Position Description: Responsible for caring for children 6 weeks to 6 years old. Guide will execute afternoon curriculum while indoors and outdoors. Guide will communicate with with parents and Lead Guide with face-to-face interactions as well as app-based systems.

Start Date: Immediately after clearances are received

This is a part time, hourly position.  Compensation is reflective of education, experience, time availability, and our demographics, but is highly competitive with surrounding metropolitan areas in the state.  Candidate must be able to work four (4) days per week, 2.5-3 (two point five to three) hours per day.  This position can grow into more hours if desired.  This is a great position for stay at home moms, retirees, and college students!

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass FBI/SLED Background check, finger printing, and any other DSS requirements.

Expectations of the Candidate:

Candidate should be able to offer exceptional care and meet the needs of children ages 0-6 years.  This candidate must be able to execute basic duties of childcare such as assisting in use of the restroom, assisting with food preparation and consumption, execution of afternoon curriculum, facilitate play on the playground, etc.  A strong desire to learn about Montessori philosophy and curriculum is a must.  This position has the capability to expand into a larger part time role at MDAH should the candidate execute the above with high success.

Full-Time Assistant Guide - Infant Room

Assistant Guide

Position Description: Responsible for caring for children ages 6 weeks through approximately 12 months in a Montessori environment, helping prepare and maintain the environment, observing children, assist with daily records, communicate effectively with parents and lead teacher, and other duties as needed. This position is full-time, five days per week with occasional staff meetings and school events after hours.
